About Us

The owners decided to name the restaurant after the most important archaeological site of the state of Oaxaca Mexico, which happens to be Monte Alban. The culinary science of Oaxaca is a mixture of pre-Hispanic and Spanish ingredients that create dishes with colorful cuisine; rich in flavors, aroma and textures.

When we opened the first Monte Alban in Irondequoit, our objective was to bring a part of Mexico here to Rochester. From the food to the music to the environment itself, Monte Alban can be your go-to place for birthdays, anniversaries and various celebrations or just for a simple dinner. Since then, we have expanded our family to Webster and Penfield locations.

Monte Alban only uses the finest ingredients for our menu items. Every item is cooked from scratch in our kitchen throughout the day.
